In loving memory of Mr. Rotimi Sankore, a dear friend, father, and mentor, who always took a keen interest in my career and personal growth. Through the trials of battling hyperemesis gravidarum, the joy of giving birth, switching jobs and the pursuit of my M.A. in the UK, he stood by me with unwavering support.
I vividly recall the moment I shared the news of completing my M.A. degree with him; he laughed and said, "PhD next, Dr. Azeezat." Our conversations were filled with discussions about research, scholarships, and even his health. He would reassure me, saying, "Don't worry, Azeezat, I will beat the monster." In his words, “body ti lo but the voice is still there”
Mr. Rotimi Sankore's belief in my potential and his encouragement will forever resonate within me. His presence and guidance will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, dear friend and mentor, your legacy lives on in the lives you've touched.
